Certified Irrigation Technician
Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT) Program
The IIABC offers a two level Certified Irrigation Technician Program for IIABC Members or Non-Member Affiliates - members of either the Western Canada Turfgrass Association (WCTA) or BC Landscape Nursery Association (BCLNA). wishing to gain skills and certification in the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems. Note: Exams are optional but mandatory for IIABC Certification.
- CIT- Level 1 Certification requires taking a one-day IIABC course and passing a written exam.
- CIT - level 2 Landscape Certification requires a two-day IIABC course and passing a written exam.

CIT- Level 2 Agriculture Certification requires a two day IIABC course and passing a written exam.
NOTE: The CIT-Level 1 Certification is a pre-requisite to CIT- Level 2 Certifications.
A. Current Course Costs (costs may change):
IIABC Member Rate
CIT-1 One day course cost: $ 210.00 + HST
CIT-2 Landscape Two day course cost: $ 300.00 + HST
CIT-2 Agriculture Two day course cost: $ 300.00 + HST

B. Exam Costs:
- CIT - Level 1 Certification Exam Fee: $100.00
- CIT - Level 2 Certification Exam Fee: $100.00
- CIT Exam Re-write fee: $25.00
Affiliates: Instead of IIABC Membership fees, a $35.00 (+HST) annual Certification fee is required along with proof of membership with either the BCLNA or the WCTA to complete the IIABC Certification process.
The CIT Certification is available to IIABC Members or Eligible Affiliates ONLY.
