COVID -19 IIABC Courses and Exams Postponed

CTV News COVID-19 Advisory- updated May 14, 2020

Countries around the world, including Canada, are working to contain the current outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Within British Columbia, Provincial Medical Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry, the BC Center for Disease Control, Ministry of Health and Vancouver Coastal Health are leading the coordinated response to COVID-19.

Suggested Social Distancing

"It's about being very careful with how you interact with others," said Dr. Bonnie Henry, provincial public health officer. "The big thing is to limit your interactions with others to limit that risk."

To stop the spread of germs, the BC Centre for Disease Control suggests staying 2 meters apart when near others, wearing a face mask when around others, covering coughs and sneezes with arm and washing hands frequently.

The IIABC urges everyone to comply to BC Provincial Health advisories to stay healthy!
Currently, there is no health advisory to support the IIABC in offering any classroom courses.  We do not have online courses available as an alternative.  So there will not be courses this spring or summer months.

We will stay in touch and notify all our members if and when we can begin to offer courses again in the fall.  Sorry we will not be taking names on a wait list.  Those who have already paid for a CIT-2 course that were cancelled in March will be automatically still registered for the next course when it can be held.

In the meantime may you and your families stay healthy.
